Now it turns out the writers and producers of The Shield are releasing weekly blog posts over on the official website. There's some excellent insight into what goes into the creative process behind the show. It's awesome to see something given back to the fans of these fantastic shows. Here's hoping we see more of it.

I clicked on a hot looking ad for The Shield a few days back and visited their official site and read the blogs. It's fantastic to get these extra DVD-style author commentaries. I just have to make sure that I read them after I watch the show and not in advance while it's waiting for me on TiVo.

Nice find! Thank you for this. It's great to see a writer's perspective. Yay for Ronnie!

Let's be fair. The first show I ever heard of to offer commentary was actually "Wonderfalls," which offered a commentary track on their official website for the pilot episode when it was shown in rerun. Despite not being a huge fan of the show, I gave it a listen as I am a commentary whore.
