To me, the most interesting part of this Reuters story isn't the fact that the NFL has signed a $600 million a year deal to switch Monday Night Football over to ESPN from parent network ABC, it's the fact that they have also signed a 6 year deal for NBC to start airing football on Sunday nights, starting in 2006. So all you Dateline, Law and Order: Criminal Intent, and Crossing Jordan fans will have to get used to those shows crowding in on another night on the schedule. Hey, how about putting them on Wednesdays? There's nothing on that night at all!
