ABC threatened by Fox over Idol investigation

We
told you about the Primetime Live investigation into Fox's
mega-popular American Idol last week. Now, the Drudge Report says Fox has
threatened ABC with legal action if they broadcast the report next
Wednesday during Sweeps. One ABC exec called it a “mauling.” The
show will center around a number of ex-contestants who say very bad
things about Paula Abdul and her interactions with other contestants.
Simon says Paula helps everybody. Would more people tune in to an ABC
expose than the Idol results show? Hmmmm...[American Idol, FOX Tues. 8 p.m. EST]
