Senator Al Franken?

I almost titled this post "Vote For Me, Al Franken," but thought the joke was too obscure to work. Anyway, Air America host, author, and Saturday Night Live alum is seriously considering running for the Senate in Minnesota in 2008. It has been rumored and hinted about for a year or two, but now Franken is doing everything he has to in case he decides to run, including moving back to Minnesota (he hasn't lived there in years), doing his radio show from there, and looking into local fundraising. Salon has a nice piece up about Franken, why he might run, and what he'll face if he does.
