Stephen Colbert gets his own show

Stephen ColbertIn one of the best pieces of news I've heard all week, The Daily Show's Stephen Colbert is getting his own show on Comedy Central. The Colbert Report will debut early this fall, and will be a comedic version of The O'Reilly Factor (if that isn't comedic already), Hardball, and shows of that ilk. He'll continue to do some work on The Daily Show, but his appearances will be cut down drastically. That's unfortunate, but they have a stable of really funny people (Rob Cordrry, Samantha Bee, etc) so they'll be fine. Colbert's show, along with a new show hosted by Adam Carrolla, will follow Jon Stewart's show Monday through Thursday. Hopefully Colbert's very funny Daily Show persona won't be overdone with a whole show based around the character.

Simply said Stephen Colbert is the greatest entertainer EVER. Stephen should be allowed to do whatever he feels, because it will be insightful, funny, and truthy. WE pay sports figures millions.. Stephen should get billions. I wish he could be our ruler. Long Live Stephen Colbert.

This is fantastic. Personally so long as he manages to do a God Report on the Daily Show I'll be fine. Just hope TDS have some new blood waiting in the wings.
