Anti-Idol movement couldn't save Scotty the Body

by David Thomas, posted May 5th 2005 9:44AM
American idolUSA Today is reporting that the anti-Idol website votefortheworst.com was flooded with visitors tuesday and crashed. Supposedly this prevented the visitors from knowing who to vote for. But since Scott had been the topic of the site for weeks they should have known that was the directive. But the ouster of Constantine likely spurred people to vote seriously. Or the show is just rigged. How awesome was it when Scott said he'd be picking out his song for next week. And how he pointed to the sky when he hit the couch. Everyone at once in a Nelson Munce voice: Ha-ha!

Oh, that was awesome! And I really liked A-Fed. The whole "this is not over" thing and how he tried to clue Scott in that he wasn't safe - that was pretty cool. I hope he makes it to the Top Three. Sorry Vonzell. But your whole "world's nicest postal worker" thing is getting old fast anyway.

Howard Stern to blame, he was talking about it a bit yesterday...

It's funny, I knew *exactly* what was happening, that the people on the couch were the ones with the lowest votes. So I just laughed out loud when Scott pointed to the sky.
