The Simpsons: Thank God its Doomsday

by Walter J. Keegan, Jr., posted May 8th 2005 9:03PM
simpsons - KrustySo Simpsons storylines are getting thin, huh? Now they’re going after the “Left Behind” franchise. Again this week FOX felt like killing another two episodes in one night so the season ends earlier than it should. Damn them! I will now rattle off some random thoughts: Dumpster buns, shirt wieners, Cannonball Run 2, Rapture for Dummies, Nostra-dumbass and leprechaun labor. And nice “Last Supper” ending. Bravo.

It's worth noting that the ratings for Arrested Development dropped from the viewers of The Simpsons during its run. But the "2nd All New" episode of The Simpsons is BUILDING on the first episode's audience. If I were an AD fan right now, I'd be even MORE worried.

This was one of the best Simpsons Episodes I've ever seen. I hated the first one tonight, but this one was terrific. I wish FOX would just can the 8:00 episodes and show a rerun. Most people probably didn't even bother to watch this episode.

Tonights episode about the end of the earth got me wondering about the future of the series. So I did some reseach (Which is how I found this site) and I thought some people might be interested to know, if you don't aready, that the cast has signed a contract to bring us at least to season 19. This is according to E! News Online (http://www.eonline.com/News/Items/0,1,16425,00.html?tnews). So we can enjoy the crazy antic of Homer et al. for a few more years.
