Blogs + TV = Boring!
While we here at TV Squad are loathe to use the words "blogs" and "boring" in the same sentence, Dana Stevens over at Slate might have a point. She's talking about the blog segments that shows such as MSNBC's Connected and CNN's Inside Blogs have added to their daytime lineup. Now, I was on MSNBC's Connected recently talking about something in this blog, so I'm all for it. But it is a little odd to have a television show talk about what's happening in a blog online. Then again, Aaron Brown has his "tomorrow's news" segment where he holds up newspapers at the end of his show to tell viewers what's in the papers the next day, so what's the difference? I do like what Stevens said about the phrase "Let's see what the bloggers have to say!" being translated as "Let's see what the first blogger we found on Technorati has to inarticulately scribble." Heh.
