A date set for FX's Over There and others

over there logoIf you've watched any FX shows within the past few months (*cough*Shield*cough*), you've no doubt seen the commercials for the new series titled Over There. The drama from Steven Bocho (NYPD Blue, Blind Justice) about the war in Iraq, the soldiers, and the families left behind is set to premiere on July 22 at 10 p.m. EST. If the quality of the current FX shows are any indication of what to expect, this may well work its way into a must-watch slot.Other shows to watch for this summer are Morgan Spurlock's (Supersize Me) 30 Days starting on June 15, and Rescue Me's second season premiere on June 21. Two new comedys are looking at an August debut - Starved ("a comedic take on food addiction") and It's Always Funny in Philadelphia.

Wow. The Shield, Rescue Me, Nip/Tuck. These guys are creaming the networks in terms of interesting programming. Vic: "You show us what you're doing, and we'll tell you why it's a crime!"

This sounds interesting but couldn't they wait until the war is finally over to show this(i know the prez. likes to think it is over but it aint until all the soldiers are back or 99% safe) it is kinda early for that show... I mean there's a reason why there's is no 9/11 tv show yet.
