We told you that one of the shows UPN had picked up for the fall was Love, Inc., starring Shannen Doherty. Well, the show is still going forward but UPN has axed the star. TV Guide reports that sources have said that Doherty was "a casualty of bad research" and that "preview audiences were not responding to her." There's already a petition made by all Shannen Doherty fansites in cooperation with JustShannen.com to bring her back and support her, show our love! Have they not learned that sometimes bad press is absorbed by the public as just that? Bad. And besides, if NBC couldn't make the premise work with a likeable Alicia Silverstone, what made UPN think they could make it fly with Shannon Doherty....
