The Situation a ripoff of PTI?

Tucker CarlsonHave you seen those promos for dick Tucker Carlson's new MSNBC show, The Situation? It looks a lot like the ESPN show Pardon The Interruption. That's the first thing I thought of when I saw the commercial for it the other night. It looks like Carlson is going from one show where everyone yells at each other (Crossfire on CNN) to a show where it looks like they'll yell at each other even more.

Crossfire should have limited to one topic per program. I want the complete story not just sound bites.

I think you're right on some points. Frankly, Tucker bothered me on CNN and he'll likely bother me on MSNBC. I agree about too much shouting, but I can't agree with the thoughts about Hannity and Colmes. A little arguing, yes, but I feel its more analysis than anything. Tucker can just resign now and save himself the trouble IMO though.

Does anyone enjoy shows where everyone yells ateach other? I hate them. Hannity and Colmes, etc.? Who needs it? I don't believe that conflict is what makes these kinds of show popular. It's the personalities involved and the intelligence of their debates. I like a genuine meritocracy where both "sides" are valued, not some inanely partisan slugfest.
