Fraggle Rock coming to DVD

by Adam Finley, posted Jun 12th 2005 6:41PM

Just about everyone in the known universe grew up with The Muppet Show, but those who could afford HBO in the 1980s got an extra-special treat in the form of a maniacal little show from Jim Henson known as Fraggle Rock. As I mentioned previously The Muppet Show comes out on DVD in August. Of course, what self-respecting Muppet fan wouldn't have already known that? And for that matter, what self-respecting Fraggle fan wouldn't know that Fraggle Rock is also slated for a DVD release in September? Well, it is. Now you can relive all the adventures of Red, Gobo, Mokey, Boober, Ping Pong, Rimshot, Lambchop, Dingle, Hookah, and Bong, some of which may or may not be characters on Fraggle Rock. I wouldn't know, as we were poor growing up and couldn't afford HBO. It's a childhood trauma I'm still learning to work through.
