Bewitched statue unveiled
Here it is, the Bewitched statue that is causing so much hubbub. Honestly, why is this causing such a stir? Actually, is it causing such a stir? I live close to Salem, MA, and while there are certainly people in Salem who don't like the statue (they showed them on the news), I don't think it's that much of a big deal. The number of people in favor of the statue far, far outnumber the people who oppose it. The statue isn't making light of what happened to the 20 people who died during the witch trials, it's celebrating a pop culture icon, and putting a positive light on the city. Besides, how many Salem city groups, organizations and companies use a witch in it's logo or marketing? Should they all stop using it?
I think it's a great idea. Maybe it's just because I always had a huge crush on Elizabeth Montgomery.
