Coming not so soon: 24, the movie

by Bob Sassone, posted Jun 16th 2005 3:08PM

Kiefer SutherlandA big screen version is in the works. And when I say "in the works" I mean they don't even have a script, a director, or a start date. But CANOE reports that the film is in the planning stages. The first half of the film could be just a regular time frame, and then in the second half of the film something big happens and the ol' time clock will start ticking down.

Just because she's hot, that doesn't mean she can act.

I saw nick of time when I was younger, but I don't remember how much I did or didn't like it. I love 24, but I don't know how it would do on the big screen. If they could do something huge and pull it off, it would only make me love 24 that much more. And bring back Kim. lol

at least the TV shows don't show the whole 24 hours thanks to those commercial breaks... I guess they could just count down for 2 hours but then it technically wouldn't be "24"

Man, 24 hours is just way too long for a movie. Joking aside, the main attraction, at least to me, was the real time action of the show, which would be lost in a feature film.

Semi-related (if you're interested in the format) is the flick NICK OF TIME with Johnny Depp. It's about 90 minutes or so, and takes place in real time.
