Finally, I can watch Bulgarian tractor pulls
Let's face it, ever since Misfits of Science was canceled American television just hasn't been very good. That's why I'm excited about Jump TV, an online subscription service that allows you to have channels from around the globe beamed directly to your computer for a small monthly fee per channel. You can also view free clips on the site. Naturally, such a service works best if you're on a high speed connection, but a cheaper subscription service is available for those with dial-up who prefer their programming to be choppy and annoying.
Now you can watch programming from Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Argentina, Vietnam, and a plethora of other places from around the globe. I believe this is the "global village" Marshall McLuhan wrote about, of which we are all a part.
