I love it when semi-spoilers come wrapped up in shiny casting-news wrapping paper. It's just been announced that Jeri Ryan - she of Star Trek: Voyager, Boston Public, and a scandal involving a sex club and her politician ex-husband - will join the cast of The O.C for at least seven episodes this coming season. Ryan will play - close your eyes now if even the tiniest plot details make you nervous - "a mysterious woman Kirsten Cohen befriends in rehab." Oooh, mystery and rehab. Sounds like the recipe for another lesbian subplot to me ...
