9:35: OK, before I start listing the noms for Best Sound Effects On A Show With Less Than Two Words In The Title But Not On Cable, I gotta go do laundry. 

9:33: Main Title Music: Desperate Housewives, Huff, Justice League Unlimited, Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends, and Stargate: Atlantis.

9:30: Main Title Design: Desperate Housewives, The Grid, Huff, House, and The Life and Death of Peter Sellers. No nom for Alias and Jennifer in all the outfits? Please.

9:29: Costumes for a Series: Alias, Carnivale, Desperate Housewives, Deadwood, and Six Feet Under. 

9:27: Commercial: "Applause" (Budweiser), "Drink Up" (Aquafina), "Glen" (Starbucks), "The One Campaign" (One.org), and "Surprise Dinner" (AmeriQuest).

9:26: Here's a quirky set of nominations, for Choreography: Reefer Madness, MadTV, The NAACP Images Awards, and A Christmas Carol. 

9:24: Casting for a Mini-Series/Movie/Special: Elvis, Empire Falls, Lakawanna Blues, The Life and Death of Peter Sellers, and Warm Srpings. 

9:23: Casting for a Drama: Lost, Deadwood, Nip/Tuck, House, Grey's Anatomy, and 24. 

9:22: Casting for a Comedy: Arrested Development, Entourage, Desperate Housewives, Will and Grace, and Scrubs. 

9:20: Animated Series (less than an hour): Family Guy, Samurai Jack, The Simpsons, South Park, and Spongebob Squarepants.

9:18: Was I too delusional to think Eyes or Tim Daly would get nominated? Yeah, probably.

9:15: Lead Actor, Comedy: Jason Bateman, Zach Braff, Eric McCormack, Ray Romano, and Tony Shalhoub. 

9:12: Lead Actress, Drama: Patricia Arquette, Glenn Close, Frances Conroy, Jennifer Garner, and Mariska Hargitay.

9:09: Best Reality Show noms: The Amazing Race, American Idol, Project Runway, The Apprentice, and Survivor.

9:04: Desperate Housewives and Will and Grace got 15 noms each. 

9:02: What are the most nominated productions? HBO's movies: The Life and Death of Peter Sellers and Warm Springs, with 16 each.

9:00: Lost the most nominated drama, with 12 noms. 

8:58: Best Actress, Comedy: Marcia Cross, Felicity Huffman, Teri Hatcher, Patricia Heaton, and Jane Kaczmarek.

8:57: Jason Bateman on the phone on E. He sounds as tired as I feel.

8:49: Best Comedy: Desperate Housewives (still not convinced it's not a drama), Will and Grace, Everybody Loves Raymond, Arrested Development, and Scrubs! 

8:47: CBS didn't even cover the noms. Instead they had some British woman telling viewers how to plant a tree or something.

8:45: Best Actor, Drama: Hank Azaria, Hugh Laurie, Ian MacShane, James Spader, and Keifer Sutherland.

8:44: No CSI, no Nip/Tuck. Sorry fans.

8:43: They have a Reality category?

8:42: Nominations coming so fast...typing...bear with me.

8:40: Drama category: Deadwood, Six Feet Under, 24, West Wing, and Lost.

8:39: Um, it's Jeremy Piven, not Pivens, host lady.  But the other one, who likes DH and AD and Lost says that she hopes Veronica Mars is nominated. That's cool of her to say.

8:37: Not really sure who these E hosts are, but one of them thinks that all 5 Desperate Housewives will be nominated? Though I agree Arrested Development should get some too.

8:36: This is from L.A. How are there any stars up at 5:35 in the morning?

8:35: Everybody Loves Raymond clip. Will it win in its final season?

8:31: They went right into a ton of commercials for some reason.

8:30: OK, it's started.

8:27: Um...why hasn't the Emmy noms coverage started on E yet? They usually start a little earlier than the actual announcement. Instead there's some show on talking about Crowe and the phone throw (is that the name of his band?) 

8:19:  ABC, CBS, and NBC will be covering the nominations too, along with E. I'm still too groggy to remember the exclamation point.

8:18: Nominations coming up in around 12 minutes.

8:15: Turn on E! Ashlee Simpson is dancing a jig. Am I still asleep, dreaming?

8:14am: Damn, overslept. Groggy, no contact lenses in. Caffeine, caffeine, caffeine, caffeine, caffeine. I swear I set the alarm for 7am.
