Writers upset at Big Big World big big time

by Adam Finley, posted Aug 12th 2005 7:54PM
I mentioned the upcoming PBS kids show It's A Big, Big World last month, but now it seems production on the series, which uses a combination of puppetry and computer animation, is being overshadowed by a writers strike. Writers hired to pen forty episodes of the jungle series say studio owner and show creator Mitchell Kriegman is offering to pay them much less than the work is worth. Kriegman insists that the pay is reasonable for a PBS series. Despite the strike, production on the series is still moving forward.
