Rescue Me gets ordered up again

by Keith McDuffee, posted Aug 23rd 2005 12:24PM
rescue meFX knows good programming when it sees it, or rather, how viewers see it. Cynopsis reports that the cable network has ordered up a 13-episode, third season of the firefighter drama, Rescue Me. Look for the premiere to air sometime next spring. The second season finale is scheduled for September 13 at 10:00PM.

been a fan of the show since day one. i live in what's left of New Orleans. If you looking for a way to keep the show going (not that i think it needs any help, but you know how network execs are) living in this city post-Katrina the fire department has done incredible jobs. and its not only the NOFD. We've got firefighters from all over the country helping New Orleans get back on their feet.Tommy and his company could volunteer to help with the recovery down here. No doubt in my mind it would make for spellbinding TV. Especially after the funeral and service I attended for a fire captain loss in the line of duty last week. An unbelieveable ceremony for a firefighter for saved countless lives in the aftermath of the storm, only to be killed in an accident on the way to a reported gas leak. He has not a close friend, my wife and I work for his father-in-law. but we knew him well enough to know that not only has he a great husband and father but also an unbelievable fireman. He was made captain with a field promotion a week after the storm after saving countless lives. Came home after being out of touch with his family for seven days to a house that had been destroyed by 10 feet of water. It's a very uplifting story, as are alot of yours on the series. I've heard about your family history with fireman and thought you might like to hear this story. GOOGLE his name, their are several stories and pictorials available: Richard McCurly my name is David M Vinot and love the show. Being able to see into their lives hopefully will make all firefighters more important to the people the live and love to protect dmv Katrina survivor helping to rebuild the greatest city in the world

To compare the characters on Rescue Me and 6 Feet Under, I'd say the people on 6 Feet Under are bigger assholes than Rescue Me.

I just started watching this show a few weeks ago, and I really like it. To me, it's kind of like Six Feet Under, but where eveyone is an asshole.
