Tim Minear has confirmed that he's been hired to write and direct a TV movie for the WB. Though few details are available at this point, the film will follow Spike, the bleached-blonde reformed bad-boy vamp who terrorised Buffy, then loved her, then died, then came back so he could show up on
Angel after the vampire detective agency merged with evil law firm Wolfram and Hart (it's all very complicated). James Marsters will reprise the role of Spike, but there's no word on whether or not he'll get any visits from any "special friends". It seems unlikely that the WB will be able to corral the big guns, as Sarah Michelle Gellar refused to pop up on
Angel in its final season, and David Boreanaz has visibly aged just a little too much to play an eternal stud. But I think Wesley is available ...
