The Rolling Stones to play at Super Bowl

by Bob Sassone, posted Sep 2nd 2005 2:15PM

In what has to be the most boring, predictable news of the day, The Rolling Stones will play during the half-time show of the Super Bowl game in February. Let's just hope that Mick doesn't rip off Keith's shirt.

Seriously, rock n' roll is a young person's game. I don't want to see 60somethings rockin' during the Super Bowl or any other bowl, no matter how legendary and great they are.

The Stones stomp a mud hole in most of modern rock. Who you gonna get? Fallout Boy? Please.

What Jennifer said: c'mon, it's the Stones. What'd you rather hear at half-time: the opening licks of (I Can't Get No) Satisfaction, or the entire ouevre of this year's American Idol crop? (Some would argue, too, that the Stones steal most heavily from the blues; and if that's not an old person's game, what is?)

Umm yeah and all those legendary and talented football players should be cut. Down with talent! C'mon it's the Stones! Sure they're old, but the music isn't.
