Big Brother 6: The final two

by C.K. Sample, III, posted Sep 16th 2005 11:21PM
big brother 6There are only two left. One won Head of Household. One was evicted. Only one of the two remaining will win.

But before we get to that part of the show, let's reminisce. Yes, it's the time-honored non-juror-evicted-houseguest montage!

We got a peek into the outside-the-house lives of Ashlea, Eric, Sarah, Michael and Kaysar. Ashlea was bummed that she was the first evicted. Eric said that he and Ivette were the same person; I guess what he was going for was that they're both rather emotional idiots. Then, Kaysar and Michael were surfing the web for fan reports on them both and we discovered that Kaysar got to appear in a soap opera. Eric wants Maggie to win and the other three want Janelle to win. Oh, yeah: and Sarah loves James!

Spoilers after the jump...So, Janelle was the first out of the first segment of the HoH competition and Ivette ended up winning that segment, as well as a pair of Vespas. Maggie and Janelle went head to head for the second tier of the competition and Janelle won. Then Janelle and Ivette went head to head for the HoH. They tied. Then they tied on the tie-breaker and then Ivette won.

Janelle was voted off and I lost all interest in the show. See you next year for Big Brother 7!*

*Just kidding. I'll still report back about Tuesday night's finale, but man was I disappointed that Janelle didn't make it to the final 2. I think Maggie will win. What do you think?

Yes Janelle redeemed herself after she was given the boot from the house by saying that Yvette was a good person, but America fell in love with the Janelle that they saw running around the house calling everyone a bitch, which boggles my mind. As said by someone earlier, I think it's the superficial tendencies of the audience to favour Kayser/Janelle's group seeing as how "The Friendship" seemed to be a nicer group of people (regardless of the fact that they chose perhaps the tackiest name for an alliance in reality show history). When it comes right down to it, there's probably no one on the show who is truly a bad person, but given the way everyone played the game, I'm glad to see that either Yvette or Maggie will take the cake!

Yvette allowed her petty and envious feelings toward Janelle to get in the way of her decision. Whether this decision will pay off in the end, who knows, but it's clear from knowing Yvette's pathological dislike of Janelle, that it was far from a strategic choice. Maybe she'll luck out and fall ass backwards into the money, but who cares, anyway. The only person who deserved to win is gone. Both Maggie and Yvette are disgusting. Superficial people like to stereotype Janelle because of the way she looks and what she does for a living, but unlike the ghastly two who remain, she never backstabbed anybody. The fact that Janelle interpreted Yvette's decision of choosing Maggie to mean that Yvette is a good person is very telling. It means that, unlike Yvette, she is not petty and mean spirited. She has a good heart. And for those who are still wondering why America likes her, that's the reason.

Janelle is a bitch and I'm glad she's gone because at least now a person with some morals will win the money. Anyone who dumps their boyfriend on national television and then falls in love with someone they've known for 2 weeks isn't exactly right in the head. Next year when we hear about the updates on this year's house guests, I'm sure Michael will be a distant memory in Janelle's superficial mind after she finds someone new to pay for all of her plastic surgery. Yes, she made the show more exciting, but lets face it people, there's one episode left, and she'll be there anyways to voice her tarty little opinion. It's a comfort to know someone who has a conscience will get the grand prize. Americans need to give their heads a shake if they wanted someone like Janelle to take home that kind of money considering that if she was to meet most of the people who have been cheering for her she wouldn't give them the time of day. Yes she's hot, and I'd cut my right leg off to sleep with her, but there's no way in hell that someone like that deserves to win that kind of money. Way to go Yvette!!

"Janelle was a blonde bimbo and although didn't do a lot for creating a more positive image for women she was a great player. " Dare I say you didn't watch the show close enough? If you want to call Janelle a Blonde Bimbo than you are truly defining her by her stereotype - which is what she played out the whole show. "This will be the last year I watch it... not enough interesting people...and far too many annoying ones." I disagree .. I think this year's "us vs them" made for some great TV. Sure the other team one this one, but it had some really good moments. Unlike the others here I actually think Ivette is going to win this thing. She needs the money the most, and surprisingly she's won more in the game than Maggie. I also think it will be hard for Maggie to promote herself to win of Ivette without looking bad. She made a HUGE team move by bring Maggie with her and I think that will be rewarded in the end. Her only downfall? Her big fat latino mouth of course. She can't handle stress well so it's possible she'll talk herself out of it. Here's my crack at the voting. Ivette: Beau & James are locks. Janelle is 75-25 after her comments. Howie because he'll fell bad for her. Maggie: Jennifer, April & Rachael.

I've watched Big Brother every year and I too found it difficult to find anyone likeable...Howie was a major goof...lose the hat Howie... James was a great game player but a real snake, and Ivette ...well just how often can one person cry...every show, she cried every show and went on and on about her family...she was a poor sport...hated losing...just grow up Ivette what a cry baby... Janelle was a blonde bimbo and although didn't do a lot for creating a more positive image for women she was a great player. She wasn't rude and 'out there' when she won, unlike our cry baby Ivette... I just wanted to slap Ivette, my 11 year old doesn't cry as much as she does. I stopped watching a couple of times her weeping and whining are really annoying. April was well ...two faced...yes two faced and yes superficial, but then again from her neighborhood who isn't? This will be the last year I watch it... not enough interesting people...and far too many annoying ones.

I left with Janelle. I find Ivette and Maggie repulsive.

I don't know. I think Ivette was in a lose lose situation. Let's say she had evicted Maggie over Janelle. Maggie would have felt so betrayed that she would most likely have voted for Janelle to win. April was on the fence to begin with so she would have voted for Janelle to win as well. Jennifer would probably side with her pal April and we all know where Howie's and Rachels vote would go. Beau would vote for Ivette, and I would assume James as well. So I don't see Ivette as voting off Maggie as a win by a long shot. Now of course it doesn't look good for Ivette going up against Maggie, but I would think James and Beau have her back. April and Jennifer would probably vote for Maggie. After last night chat with Julie I am thinking that Janelle may be leaning toward voting for Ivette to win. If that is true, then I think Howie would go her way. Ivette made the smartest decision she could which was really not to piss her teammate off. In all honesty, Ivettes best chance of winning would have been if Janelle won HOH and took her to the final two, but purposely blowing the competition would have been way too risky for Ivette because there was no garauntee she would pick her.

This is the first Big Brother that I have had trouble finding more than one person that I even liked. In the beginning one always hates everyone. However, from the beginning my favorite was Kaser. He definitely should have won. Eric made me vomit. Fireman-Our Hero-HA! He's a loud mouth bossy wanna be police man who is only a fireman who constantly bragged about his family in order to curry favor with the public-Glad it did't work! If Maggie wins-doesn't Eric get half the money? If that is true - I sure hope that Maggie loses. Also-What in the hell does Yvette see in Cappie? What does Cappie mean? Doesn't she mean crappie? She knows Eric for a couple a days and only because of his (pretend ) ethics- does she find him to be a person so above reproach. She is going to lose and Maggie is going to win -That serves you right -Stupid Yvette.
