It's probably the funniest shows on television next to South Park. Xplay is mediocre because of their awful attempts at humor, Attack of the Show rules most of the time because the Kevin guy can be funny even if most of their attempts at humor fail due to Sarah Lane being extremely unfunny but that's okay because she's not half bad looking and plays videogames, and the fastlane crap needs to go because face it, black people don't watch G4 and nobody really cares about them anyways. That stupid videogame vixens needs to go too, noone wants to see pixels when some of us can maybe get REAL women or I don't know, look at midget porn on the internet(midget porn is half off so it's worth it.) That obnoxious asian bitch needs to go too. So does the whore on Cheat! It's obvious they know jack shit about videogames or anything for that matter. Icons is bad ass as ever, especially now that they have PCGamer (best magazine ever) journalists on it. What redeems the station is Attack of the Show, The Man Show, and of course, Icons. Xplay is decent. Honestly, there is nothing to bitch about because there are more shows to watch on that station than there are on pretty much any other station for me. When someone says they don't like The Man Show, they are either a feminist, gay, or a lesbian and therefore, need to kill themselves right now.

why does everyone complain about g4 if the dont like gaming??? just dont watch it. no1 wants 2 watch tv about games all day. y not just play games then? ive seen tss on alot the last few weeks and call for help is still on... who cares if its canadian? and dont tell me u dont like brainiac... brainiac is awesome...g4 is alot more mature and still funnier then ttv

I never saw Tech tv but i know G4 really sucks it has hardly anything to do with games and more to do with lame jokes and half nude girls. I think that they are trying to make it the new spiketv cuz spiketv is dying.

Totally agree with everyone. It makes me so mad to see crap being put on a channel that is meant to be geared toward a specific subject. Hell, you don't even see that many games anymore on the channel and as far as tech is concerned, it might as well not even be mentioned on any of the few game and semi-tech related shows left. They're being pushed out for more theme-specific shows like Fastlane and Man Show because they have everything to do with G4, "tv for gamers". But G4 knows the truth, all techies really wanna be beer-guzzling, gun-toting speed freaks who would rather give up their computers and video-games for said beer-guzzling lifestyle. Martha Stewart isn't on ESPN, demolition derby isn't on the Style Network, and those stupid shows on the Whip Set and cancelled shows like the Man Show should not be on G4. Anyone know where I can petition Comcast and G4 to air some good tech shows?

This is the direction G4 has been head ever since they dropped the TechTV part of their name in February. Take a look at two specific G4 press releases (VIDEO GAME TELEVISION - SHIFTS INTO OVERDRIVE IN '05 WITH TWO NEW SERIES "FORMULA D" AND "GIRLS GONE WIRED" from January 11, 2005 and G4 PRESENTS AN ALL-NEW LINEUP ON ANIME UNLEASHED PROGRAMMING BLOCK from February 15, 2005 -- the day "TechTV" was dropped from the name), and G4 airing reruns of "The Man Show" starts making a little more sense. What I find strange is that "The Man Show" is being rerun on G4 and not Spike TV; Viacom owns both Comedy Cetnral, which originally ran "The Man Show," and Spike. So why on G4?

My question is why did G4 buy TechTV if all they wanted to do was dismantle it? What was the point in that. I know that they wanted the viewers however, but by canceling or altering the shows that geeks were watching, they have failed to do that. The tech savvy viewers have already found shows like TWiT, Diggnation, SYSTM, CommandN, DigitalLife(note how many of these are by old TechTV people)and a few others. For gaming, PCGamer's Podcast is better than anything else available. Call For Help was such a hit when Roper put it back on in Canada(G4TechTV) ,after thousands of people wrote in complaining about the changes, that G4(US) had to take notice. Popular in Canada, the US and Austrailia, G4 ratings went up(slightly) when it returned. I think that REV3 is the new TechTV. Long Live TechTV!!

My two picks are Brainiac and Cinematech. I was a fan of Icons, too, because I like to know the history behind things. The rest of the stuff is mostly crap, though. I wonder if it is a matter of pride at this point -- G4 doesn't want to go back to what worked before because they would be seen as admitting that they made a mistake.

G4 was fun but, It sort of Dead I enjoyed AOTS, X-Play, Brainiac and Happy Tree Friends and Friends (thought i missed a few) however The Whip Set killed the quality of G4 and The Man Show will be the Nuke of G4's quality because The Man Show is a show that was funny but, It ain't no more! G4 must do the following: Cancel The Whip Set Cancel Future Fighting Machines Cancel Nerd Nation Cancel Cinematech: Nocternal Emissions Cancel The Man Show Bring Back Pulse, Starcade and all the others the G4 viewers enjoyed!

this news makes perfect sense... they went after a demographic they did not fully understand and then alienated us (us being 25yrold gamers) by destroying something many of us truly enjoyed tech tv. Before the ttv buyout I watched g4 off and on kind of keeping tabs on their progress hoping to see an increase in quality because I thought their concept had potential. However during that time I watched ttv almost constantly. Sadly I never saw the progress I had hoped for and began to completely ignore it. That is when they bought my beloved ttv. I held on for a little bit but after seeing the way they pillaged ttv I was so infuriated I actually removed G4 from the channel listings on my cable box just to make sure I never accidentally even stopped on it. Why did they do this? Two years later all they have is xplay, I refuse to believe uncle comcast would pay up and buy ttv for g4 just for that one show but in the end that is what happened. They didnt get an audience from it. What irks me the most while the comcast/g4 folks have received countless emails from people like me they likely still do not realize how special ttv was and do not understand why we would be upset that they killed it.

Well I guess that new CEO they got is already at work making the channel go even further from gaming.
