Genetic Mirror Theory for Lost numbers = bogus

by Keith McDuffee, posted Sep 29th 2005 5:15PM
genetic mirror theoryWere you one of the many, many Lost fans out there who was totally roped into believing the strange Genetic Mirror Theory by Marsille Roussau as the "endgame" for the show? Well, I'm not all that surprised that it's a completely made up story that some dweeb posted to the internet, only to let the cat out of the bag a mere week after announcing it. I guess he couldn't contain his own excitement enough to try letting the thing ride a bit longer, and now he wants to get on radio and TV gigs for being so brilliant. Hell, it even fooled at least one of the guys on Howard Stern's show.

I would just like to say...I have dominated that kid in Halo 2 a few times at my house. I gotta give him props on fooling so many people. I like the 'geek' look.

I just watched the deleted scenes on the Lost Extras dvd. Jack is telling Kate that in the hospital lounge they alwasy have soap operas on. Jack said, "I think we've got them beat." Kate responds, "I't not a soap opera until someones evil twin shows up." How wierd with wat's going on about the genetic morror theory. Since no one's found any outside confirmation on the theory or Roussau, maybe it's a hoax planted by the people at "Lost".

Oh come on! Look at that guy - the stupid glasses, the hat and shirt, it looks like he was MADE to LOOK LIKE a geek. It's such a staged photo. This is just a cover-up because the endgame was blown and the network panicked, loss of interest = lost revenue! I can imagine the guy at the top going "NOOOO! I UNDERESTIMATED THE VIEWERS! THEY WORKED IT OUT! THEY RUINED IT ALL! I want this buried and get the writers to come up with something different! NOW!"

I linked that theory and it's gotten me a ton of traffic. I thought it was likely a red herring created by show producers, but it was intriguing. This dude's aunt (or someone claiming that status) emailed me revealing the goods late Thursday morning.
