Jerry Juhl, a writer who was best known for his work with The Muppets, passed away last month of cancer at the age of 67. Juhl wrote for pretty much anything having to do with the Muppets, including Sesame Street, five of the Muppet films, and Fraggle Rock. He was also a head writer on The Muppet Show. Juhl was with Jim Henson pretty much from the beginning, starting off as a puppeteer on the show Sam and Friends, the same series that introduced the world to Kermit the Frog. As a sample of just how influential Juhl was to other creative minds, check out this 2002 blog entry from writer Neil Gaiman.
