We're being invaded! Which do you prefer?

among_usSo by now you've noticed that each of the big 3 networks seem to have an "alien invasion" series that premiered this season. We've got Invasion on ABC, Threshold on CBS and Surface on NBC. Each has similar underlying themes: the aliens are very ambiguous, none have revealed a clear-cut "plan" yet; they all have water as a center theme; and all three have groups of incredibly attractive people trying to figure out what is going on. We here at TVSquad are curious which you are more interested in? Personally, I like Surface on NBC the best, it got off to kind of a slow start, but it's the one that's intrigued me the most. Now if I could only somehow get Carla Gugino from Threshold and Lisa Sheridan from Invasion to join Surface's cast, I'd have my alien "ubershow"...

Let us know what you think and which you like the best.

What is your favorite new alien invasion show?
Invasion
Threshold
Surface

I like Threashold the best. No nonsense program. Great characters. Good plot. The worst has to be Invasion. We're into this thing about a month and a half and still only know about an ugly sheriff a bunch of married people or people who used to be married ( Whatever) a hero who has no "gonads" and supposedly some aliens ( although nothing so far points to that ). The comical one is Surface.Straight out of " Close encounters of the Third Kind " Plus a smart aleck kid who has a sister and friends who dance around each episode in their binikis ( Good God deliver us ). The kid has a pet something that eats peoples prize dogs and nothing is done. This one should be shown on Saturday morning cartoons.

Surface is by far my favorite. Threshold is fairly entertaining. Invasion without the Lost lead-in would easily be Implosion, I have since stopped watching it.

I haven't watched any of them. I felt like they were all trying to play off of the "unknown in the creepy jungle" that LOST started. I know they are different, but they are also all the same from what I have read.

Threshold would rank at #1 for me...it still has a lot of kinks to smooth out but it has the best cast and best overall suspense/plotline. Surface has been virtually unwatchable, and Invasion just seems to meander...I doubt it would have fared nearly as well if it wasn't being spoonfed an audience by Lost.

I would rank Invasion as #1, Threshold #2 and Surface as the worst of them. I still like it though. but... if those two kids would get eaten then maybe it would become a #1 show but until then there is no chance of that happening. Its just completely unrealistic that retarted people doing retarded things while in the presence of a flesh eating monsters dont get eaten. That kid has got to be the most annoying character on TV ever even surpassing the star treks Wesley Crusher.

Surface has my vote too. I love watching this show each week, and it has quickly become my favorite out of the three shows. Invasion is my least favorite, and I like Threshold, but I think that show might be losing it a bit for me. I do love Gugino though. Surface just keeps us guessing. Yes, it started off a bit slower than the others, but we keep bouncing back and forth between the creature being alien in nature to something that has always been here. Great show. I'm so glad it was picked up for the season.
