Advertisers shy away from Nip/Tuck
Nip/Tuck isn't exactly family fare, and it's been the target of the Parents Television Council for some time. The watchdog group has sent out hundreds of letters to advertisers. Some companies, most recently Toyota, have pulled their spots from the show. The letters chastise the show for being too violent and too sexually explicit, as well as trying to push every taboo TV will allow. Actually, that sounds like more of an incentive to watch. Nip/Tuck is one of the most popular shows on cable right now, and I'm guessing it won't be toning down anything in the near future.
