E-Ring picked up for full season

The show is great. Not real? And exactly who knows what is real or not in a world of secrecy. It is truly easier to believe in the theme of this show and that good politics play such a vital role in combat operations compared to the poor portrayal of soldiers in combat as seen on the show "Over There" Allow the story and its characters to grow and in time it will become a very solid show.

E-ring and Criminal Minds are the two best new dramatic series of the season, by far. If you think "the writing is weak", change the channel, you clearly are not meant to "get" it, or realize that the writing is as good as it gets for a 1-hour political/crime drama. Stick to the dozens of local or national law-enforcement programs, E-Ring is just too epic for you. Or did it bother you that they killed off a main character? Get over it, thats balls, thats E-Ring. Dennis Hoppers character is this seasons Denny Crane, Ben Bratt is the new Jack Bauer. Probably the best thing Jerry Bruck has ever done.

I am really happy that they are keeping this show. It will take some time to work out some of the kinks that some people have with it. It takes a long time to introduce so many different personalities. And then try to add the "weekly emergency" in and you have less time. They have just scratched the surface on where these characters can go to tell a story. I just hope that they can stick to character development and leave the politics on the hill.

I actually like this show alot...tho I agree that "Cemetary Wind" was special-it gave the show some heart and a chance for Ben Bratt to give some much needed depth to his character. I do admit that it took me awhile to warm to the show, but I love the technical aspect and as someone who has lived in DC for 20+ years and met quite a few Pentagon employees, it is on target. Give the show a chance to season!! How many shows are there that took off from the start??

Cemetary Wind (2-parter) was great and was probably why there were such high viewers - they broke the typical storytelling method and got Ben into the mix; add some cool CIA conspiracy and you have a great show...the death of a major character was awesome too because although that character had to be written out it was interesting that they did it so soon. I'm not American and I don't see this as a patriotic show - not unless you think that making comments about how slow and dumb the Pentagon is and how there are so many bad apples inside each of the agencies and people exchnage classified information easier than Paris Hilton exchanges fiances - is patriotic. Its not the best TV but it is entertaining - Benjamin Bratt holds the show together, Hopper gives us his best Hippie-working-for-the-Man act and as long as they mix it up like the Cemetary Wind episodes once in awhile this show will keep going. Normally I wouldn't like this show but it has drawn me in.

Can't argue with Post #1 too much, except to say that I enjoyed the 2 part "Cemetery Wind". Hmm, maybe I'll give it another shot.

This is such a bad show. I've tried three times to get interested, but can't. It just tries to hard to be patriotic. Almost to the point that it's just not believable.
