Threshold: Progeny
Whoa. This show is getting wild. In the first three minutes, Cavennaugh wakes up next to a naked woman after having a dream of the glass forest; then Elizabeth Berkley attacks a bank teller; a wife rips her husband's head off with her bare hands; and then a woman butts in line at a hot dog stand, shoves a bunch of hot dogs into her mouth, then explodes. Welcome to The Wonderful World Of Disney. Cafferty and Cavennaugh investigate.
It's another alien outbreak. Seems all three women were infected. Now the team has to figure out what the common denominator is between the three women. Now they work for me; my name is Charlie.
The woman who killed her husband isn't just infected, she's also pregnant. And so were the other two women. Threshold traces each women to a fertility clinic. So now the virus can be spread by sexual contact. Oh oh.
But I don't really want to talk about that. I want to know why Cafferty, when she's in the bedroom of the woman who killed her husband, calls for Cavennaugh and calls him "Calloway." Huh? Did I miss something? Is Calloway his first name? I thought it was Sean? Did Carla Gugino make a mistake and they didn't catch it? Have I been wrong all these weeks when I've called him Cavennaugh (no, I don't think so). Is it a pet name she made for him? Is it a different character that just looks like Cavennaugh? What's going on? Does anybody know?
(Threshold is now on Tuesdays at 10, and Close To Home has moved to Fridays at 10, for a few weeks at least).
