What a terrific person the world had in Wendie! In the face of a terrible disease, she thought of the future, a cure and others. A wonderful actress and humanitarian we've lost on earth. Wow... that was more of a punch to the gut than hearing about Pat Morita. Wendie was always cast as the "fat friend" in every sitcom she was in... until she dropped a ton of weight in the early nineties, when she was cast as Billy Bob Thornton's girlfriend in "Hearts Afire" (remember that show? John Ritter? Markie Post? Political jokes?). I always thought she was funny, no matter how bad the material was. A great comedic character actress. It's too bad she had to go so soon.

That sucks! She was a great actor and a beautiful person.
