Cartoons as real people

by Keith McDuffee, posted Dec 2nd 2005 10:12AM
south park kids real people
There was just something about the scene above from this week's South Park that made me bust a gut. To see what the four cartoon kids might look like in real life is both hysterical and surreal. I remember seeing an image one artist did of what Homer Simpson might look like as a real person [originally via Digg], which was actually more disturbing than funny. There was also a Simpsons episode that showed what Bart, Lisa and Maggie might look like with pink skin and five fingered hands. Have there been any other examples of animated shows doing this sort of thing?

What do THE GODFATHER 3 and Drawn Together have in Common??

aanswer: They should have never been made.

Gee, Let's rip off some existing cartoon characters, throw them in a house to rip off some existing reality TV shows, and then have unorignal, redudant humor take over the show for the next 22 minutes.. Whoever thought this one is a real Genius!!

Harvey Birdman does it all the time actually. I especially love the TAB commercial.

Reminds me of this amusing hoax: http://www.snopes.com/photos/people/griffin.asp And along the same lines in a slightly morbid way is this artist's renditions of 22 cartoon characters and what their skeletal system would look like: http://michaelpaulus.com/gallery/character-Skeletons

Hey Elf, the Space Ghost in real life you are speaking of is actually the shows exec. producer (and voice of Brak and Lokar) Andy Merril In fact, early seasons of the show Andy would be dressed in the suit off screen interacting with the interviewees so they would get the fact they were being intereviewed by Space Ghost.
