Celebs and skate abuse

by Adam Finley, posted Dec 5th 2005 2:22PM

Last night I saw an advertisement for FOX's latest reality series featuring stars doing things they shouldn't be doing, Skating with Celebrities. I never watched ABC's Dancing with the Stars, and after seeing the promos for Skating, I probably won't be watching that show either. The commercial showed close-up after close-up of scrapes, gashes and bruises (and not just tiny bruises, but gigantic, Rorschach Test-looking things). Perhaps if they changed the name to something more appropriate like Celebrity Bloodbath on Ice I might tune in. As of right now I'm not sure I can enjoy a show where I'm worried every second that someone's carotid artery might get slashed by a skate blade.

Are you talking about the skaters? Or the celebs? The skaters are all stars (in the figure skating world). The celebs seem to be has-beens and used-to-wanna-be, and never-weres.

What, precisely is the definition of "stars"? Because I didn't recognized a damned on of those people.

Wait, they canelled Arrested Development for THIS? Seriously, people give Fox gold, but instead they want shit. This is why people still think of Fox as the desperate sleezbag network......
