In today's tragic television news, a segment of an Elton John special, Elton John: The Red Piano, taped live in Las Vegas, was shown minus a racy bit in which "scantily clad" Anderson (as opposed to...?) dances suggestively and pole dances on a video screen behind John while he sings "The Bitch is Back". As Adam reported a month ago, the special  included videos directed by David LaChappelle - including Justin Timberlake playing a young Elton John and Anderson pole dancing - playing on giant video screens.

After reviewing the video, Scrooge NBC execs determined that you shouldn't get any half-naked Pam in your Christmas stocking the pole dancing material didn't "mesh with the time slot" - 8PM EST. Of course, I remember a Friends drinking game (not that I ever played it *cough*) where you had to chug a beer or a shot every time Jennifer Aniston was shown on screen with her nipples poking through her shirt. But I guess it's good to know NBC has standards: Jennifer Aniston's nipples = good; Pam Anderson pole dancing = bad, bad, bad. Got it.
