I guess I missed this news, but back in 1999 Lorraine Bracco (she plays Dr. Melfi on The Sopranos) filed for bankruptcy. Since then, she's paid off almost two million in debt but she still owes plenty in backtaxes and lawyer fees. Her secret? Real estate. Avoiding stocks, managing a real estate portfolio, and being cast in the HBO drama all helped her get back on her feet. But can someone fill me in here on why she filed in the first place?
