I had to give into the wife and watch Dancing, but Tivo'd NBC and CSI. ER screwed me because of the 8:59 start. I had to dust of the VCR to watch Dancing live over the air, instead of DirectTivo.
Next week will be interesting with Smallville, Dancing, Will & Grace, and 4 Kings.

Friday, I had the same problem with Daniel, Numb3rs and BSG. After the math, Nuber3rs lost :

I don't care what night it's on as long as I can watch Earl and Office on TiVo. I'd much rather have them back on Tuesday though. Two Scrubs, Earl and Office in one fat freaking comedy block would comedy rock. (Sorry, bad pun) I don't care for Will and Grace. (Though I find it amusing. But I'd prefer Friends and Seinfeld really. The original Must See Thursdays.)

Well, i all the way i europe so i have other ways of watching all the shows discussed here, plus point is, i can watch csi and earl whe never i want :) i cant wait for earl to start here, if it ever will that is, csi s5 ended here a while ago, luckely i can watch Uk shows :D

For my Thursday night I choose CSI. ALWAYS. I'm more for the drama not comedy. Someone was talking about CSI lacking on-going story arcs, and I think that the show would get boring if it was the same thing week to week. Right now, it fresh each time and you don't know what will happen. The surprise and suspense.That why I love it.

p.s. I can't believe that someone would choose CSI: Miami over the regular. David Caruso is the worst the to happen to tv.

I was torn but chose CSI and Time Shifted Earl. The Office is good but I have the DVDs of the good version so I can skip NBC's version.

I cannot believe I actal heard someone praise CSI:Caruso.

I also agree wholeheartedly. Four Kings showed potential. Earl was really good, and The Office gets better every single week.

This is why I'm also of the opinion that CSI:Miami is quickly becoming the best CSI, as its ongoing story-arcs are more intriguing and, well, present.

This week's episode of The Office really showed how well the writers are balancing the humor and the drama. The show has just the right amount of serious stuff; if only movies like Wedding Crashers could learn how to do this right instead of bombing for the last 45 minutes.

My Thursday viewing was the same as yours. Seth Green was enough of a draw for me to give Four Kings a chance, and then I chose Earl/Office over CSI. For me, CSI is suffering from the Law and Order problem. When you create a series where the episodes are mostly self contained and there is not much in the way of long multi-episode story arcs it is great for syndication, but it doesn't hold my interest like other shows do. That's one of the things I really like about Veronica Mars. They are able to balance the weekly story nicely with the season long story, so there is more of a reason to come back next week.
