Letterman's retirement: UPDATE

So the other night I speculated that
because David Letterman said on his show that he only had "2 or 3 years" left to go at CBS, that he was going
to retire, or at least he was letting slip something he was thinking about doing. Now the story has caused such a fuss
that Letterman's spokesman has actually had to issue a public
denial that Letterman has any plans to retire.
(Oh, and it would have been nice if the New York Post had given us some credit, since we were the ones who broke the news.)
