Coming to VH1: Tori Spelling as herself

by Anna Johns, posted Jan 12th 2006 5:31PM
VH1 picked up a comedy series starring Tori Spelling as a fictionalized version of herself. Previously, NBC passed on the show. It's the most expensive project VH1 has taken on but network execs say "it was a risk we were happy to take." Tori created the show because she got tired of going on auditions for parts that were all very similar to her character, Donna, on 90210, or similar to her real-life story of riches. So, she decided to embrace her real life and even poke fun at it a little. In the pilot of her new show, called So NoTORIous, Spelling moves out of her family mansion and into a condo, which happens to be next door to Farrah Fawcett. Yes, the real Farrah appears in the pilot. And so does Loni Anderson, who plays her mother. So NoTORIous premieres on VH1 on April 2.

I look forward to watching Tori Spelling's show myself because I think she's a very nice person, who deserves to have her own show.

Regarding her growing up well-to-do, like with anything, you deserve to grow up well-to-do when your parents as well as yourself are honest and hard-working.

Tori Spelling and her parents worked hard to get where they are today.

Anyone who wants to learn more about Tori's father, Aaron Spelling should ready his autobiography, which details how Aaron Spelling grew up in Dallas, was poor and worked hard to get where he is today.

You don't live in a $100 million mansion in Holmby Hills by not working hard to the fullest extent as have Aaron Spelling, his wife, Tori Spelling and her younger adult brother.

Congratulations should go to Tori Spelling for her hardwork and strong work ethic and friendly personality as well as to her parents and brother.

Incidentally, if you would like to learn more about The Spelling family, then you can read Aaron Spelling's book, "Aaron Spelling: A Prime-Time Life," which was publihsed in 2002 by St. Martin's Press and is an excellent read, if I do say so myself (and I do)! :)

I tell you what makes it gold: this woman is a train wreck. She spends millions on a wedding, is divorced shortly thereafter, and then is engaged again within months? Mix in the wealth, the fact that she can't act, a huge ego that prevents her from seeing that she can't act, and you, my friend, have a winnah!

Okay, VH1 is falling into the Spelling Trap.

Just because the name Spelling is attached to a
item does not make it gold. But then this is
exactly what VH1 is becoming. Just one step
up above progamming for teens and teenage wannabes.

Next week, on a very special episode of Tori.
Tori gets a nipple piercing. And it goes horribly
wrong and she must get a nippleectomy
