Lil' Kim's Countdown to Lockdown

BET executives have been working hard on defending Lil' Kim's (real name: Kimbery Jones) new reality show, Lil' Kim: Countdown to Lockdown. Lil' Kim recently got into some trouble with the law regarding a shootout between her friends and some rivals. She was sentenced to some jailtime (a year and a day) and this reality series, premiering March 9, will follow her as she prepares for her time away (recording some music, doing a video, caring for her family, etc.). The executives have been insisting that the situation and subject will not be taken lightly and that the series is a chance for the rap star to reveal herself (um... emotionally). It's probably just me, but I always find it a little hard to take something completely seriously when it has any sort of wordplay in the title...
