The Golden Globes Play-Along-at-Home Game!

Let's face it - awards shows are mostly lots of boring stuff with the occasional exciting moment when the awards you care about come up. To make things more exciting for you, though, TV Squad has come up with this fun-filled Play-Along-at-Home game to help occupy your time during the more mundane moments. We're not saying this is a drinking game, but, you know, if you wanted to make it a drinking game, or a potato chip eating game, or whatever, you could do that.

Here's how you play along. Just keep score at home (or drink, or eat a chip, or whatever you want) everytime you see the following things happen during the broadcast of the Golden Globes:

  • Someone trips on the red carpet.
  • Someone has a wardrobe malfunction, broken heel, etc on the red carpet.
  • Ryan Seacrest says something annoying or blatantly obvious.
  • When an interviewer makes an awkward transition from wardrobe commentary ("I love that dress!") to personal question ("So, how's that divorce going?")
  • Whenever an interviewer suddenly cuts off from interviewing someone on the red carpet because someone more important is stepping out of their limo.
  • A presenter or winner kisses Jack Nicholson's ass.
  • A presenter screws up what they're supposed to be saying and blames it on the teleprompter.
  • A presenter mispronounces someone's name.
  • Adrien Brody kisses someone.
  • A camera shows a celeb wearing sunglasses indoors.
  • Someone's spouse is shown getting all emotional and teary.
  • A loser is shown enthusiastically applauding the winner, as though they really wanted that person to win all along.
  • A loser is seen on camera mouthing an expletive.
  • A winner proclaims how they "owe it all to God or Jesus".
  • A winner thanks their attorney or accountant.
  • A winner gets political in their acceptance speech.
  • A winner forgets to acknowledge their spouse or significant other during their speech.
  • The winner says that another nominee really should have won.
  • Somebody says something that pisses off Sean Penn.
  • Someone's long-winded speech gets cut off by music.
  • Miss Golden Globe's cleavage comes dangerously close to exploding out of her dress.

Have ideas for other rules we didn't think of? Let us know!

You have what all the winners are doing, but what about the losers?

- Anytime a loser clearly shows fake applause for the winner.
- Anytime a loser is shown mouthing an expletive when they lose.

...that's all I got for now.
