FOX cancels That 70s Show, Malcolm

by Bob Sassone, posted Jan 17th 2006 3:09PM

Frankie MunizAnd before you say it, yes, both of these shows are still on the air.

FOX announced today that both shows will end their runs in May. The final episode of 70s will be the show's 200th, while Malcolm in the Middle will reach 150 episodes when it ends.

I never really watched That 70s Show, only catching an episode here and there, but Malcolm has been consistently funny over the years.

excuse me, this is incorrect. that 70s show was NOT cancelled. it was set in stone that that 70s show will end when it turns 1980 in their time. so change that.

They are making a big mistake to take off That's 70's Show. It is a GREAT SHOW. They must be insane. I guess I will just start buying more movies, and say the Hell with regular T.V. They better not take One Tree Hill Off. That is another one my Favorites as well as Friday Night Heat. I don't have cable and I shouldn't have to in order to be able to see shows I like to watch. They need to leave WELL ENOUGH ALONE.

Ive watched Malcolm In The Middle and That 70s show for a really long time and now that it ended I'm depressed. That 70s show did so well untill Topher Grace and Ashton Kutcher left.So it's kinda weird that my two favorite shows that i watched for a really long time ended at the same time. They put 4 Seasons out on dvd so Far of That 70s show and in october there gonna put the 5th episode out but they only put 1 season out of malcolm in the middle. They went so long but then all of the cast started getting so old and they didnt get such good ratings. It's just Sad that they had to end like this.

THAT 70'S SHOW is an UNBELIEVABLE PIECE OF CRAP !
I had a "precious" chance to look through this EXTREMELY
AVERAGE AND DEEPLY SILLY thing, during the day time.
I tried to understand, WHY this show is aired and WHY it's on. The jokes are incredibly awful and would hit maybe a retarded individual. Ashton Kutcher is a VERY bad
"actor", wherever he played, he never had any success, unlike at impressed, brainless chicks outside. I totally agree that this show must go away, an American shame. Make up something else, producers, or put your masterpieces on some DUMB TV channel.
Learn from real shows like "Seinfeld" pr "King Of Queens", they are flawless !

Fox didn't cancel That '70s Show, they had always planned to end it on the 8th season since the end of Season 7.

I have watched That 70's Show since the first episode and have known that this show would have to be done after Topher Grace left. Hey, it's not even the other characters' basement! I still watch the show every week and will miss it when it is over, but I want to let FOX know that they did a good thing putting this show on and have kept it one for 200 episodes. WOnderful! There have been weak moments and many others that still knock me off my feet with laughter even after watching them numerous times. My wife and I watch the re-runs everyday on FX and am glad they are there. Be cool!
Now, I'm off to my basement and a small circle for myself and a few choice friends..............

MALCOLM! MALCOLM! MALCOLM! MALCOLM!
What must the public do to reverse the Malcolm decision. Is the network listening? I agree that the sing-a-long karaoke show Idol is useless--are we just into hearing someone play with Mr. Microphone? What about the great numbers of us with the buying power, without the pubescent interests of a high-school talent singing contest? Malcolm is funny, satirical, and transcends the age barrier, since everyone can at least relate to something within the content of the script. Oh well, some things are worth stretching a little bit--those characters are not aged-out, and can be included in the plot for a long time to come (that's why an over-aged couple kept having the babies)!
Keep trying, Fox, hope you're listening!
