SC station cuts off last 10 minutes of 24

"Somebody has lost their mind."

That quote from an angry Columbia, SC fan of 24 pretty much sums up this situation. Some genius over at WACH, Columbia's FOX affiliate, decided to start the news on time on Sunday night... cutting off the last 10 minutes of the season premiere of 24. For East coasters, 24 started about 10 minutes late on Sunday night because an NFL playoff game went over the time allotted. Apparently no one who works at WACH actually watches the programming there, because they just flipped over to the news right at ten o'clock. Even if they weren't watching 24, the newsroom should have known to slide their programming by 10 minutes because FOX usually notifies all of its affiliates over an audio "black box" when schedule changes occur.

most people have no taste at all, some have nothing really to talk about and then their are the rest of us - 24's cast, producer, writers; all inclusive - the best we, "ME" and those few have to sit on the edge of our seats and pray for the best, not knowing what is going to happen.

to the rest of you, "GET A LIFE"!

PS: Donald, what a wonderful blessing he has become - thanks and praise to God!

WACH has a contract with WIS across town to produce their newscasts for them (not an uncommon thing these days, since FOX affils do news an hour before the big 3 networks). Since delaying the start of WACH's show would impede getting ready for WIS' 11pm show, the WACH show has to start at 10pm. They just should have delayed it instead of running it live...

They rebroadcasted the entire 2nd hour before Monday's 2 hour show. Still an unbelievable silly thing to do.
