The Bachelor: Paris: Episode 4

This time we have two past contestants grilling the girls for the chance for a one-on-one date. They call Tara a drunk, Canadian Sarah is too young etc. but they save their true bitterness for Moana. They say that Moana is there for the wrong reasons. The girls give Jehan the first date and she and Travis go off on a picnic. Travis gives her an Eiffel Tower necklace but their picnic goes sour when Jehan announces she has been married before. I'm not sure why, in our modern age, this is such a big deal for the Bachelors. Travis takes an easy way out, not giving her a rose but asking her to stay until the next rose ceremony. The other girls seemed horrified that Jehan has been married too The fairy tale is alive and well at the Bachelorette chateau.The group date is a bicycle trip through the countryside. Travis sets up a bicycle race for the girls and they all compete for Travis.%uFFFD Moana easily beats the rest of the girls which aggravates everyone. They cavort en masse in the pool and then Moana and Travis head off for a couples massage. Moana continues to be mysterious but does give Travis some details of her life. Meanwhile the other three think that Moana does not deserve the attention of Dr. Bland. What are we missing in the house? Why are they so mean to her? She just doesn't seem that awful to me but these girls hate her.

Tennessee Sarah has a one-on-one date with Travis. Travis looks like he is out on a date with his sister. The whole date it sounds like he is giving her the "friend speech."%uFFFD But he ends up giving her the rose. I get the feeling that he gave her the rose because she is so darn nice.%uFFFD He says there is a romantic connection...I'm not seeing it.

The next morning Travis bikes over to the house. He has a talk with Canadian Sarah and Jehan and then finds a weepy Moana writing in her journal. She confesses that the girls are mean to her and she doesn't know why.

Canadian Sarah gets a rose, followed by Susan and then Moana gets the final rose. Tara is visibly shocked and upset. Jehan is sad but knows that her previous marriage counts against her. Tara takes the opportunity of saying goodbye to warn Travis that someone is "trying to fool him." What is going on here? Will we someday see secret footage of Moana worshipping the devil or something? Given how much the other girls loathe her I am curious to see what her family is like when Travis meets the parents next week.
