NBC milking the Olympics through the fall

How fresh of an idea is this? Coming from a family of professional athletes, I know for certain that 'just' being an athlete doesn't preclude these individuals from being smart & clever, while also having been exposed to current marketing techniques. Most athletes are not professionals; they come from a wide variety of backgrounds, educations, careers.

If The Apprentice wants a determined, disciplined and speedy person, go with one of the speed skaters. In fact, why not invite both Chad Hedrick & Shanie Davis so they can continue to play out their very public feuding on the show? Can't you see the ratings going thru the roof?

Skiers are accustomed to having to make snap decisions - or risk personal injury. Wouldn't they be great to be on any team that are constantly faced with making quick (yet BIG) decisions and stick with that route unless sure disaster is faced??

Wanna have someone that speaks softly yet carries a big stick? Go with the hockey guy.

The bobsledders & skelton participants do their best work in super tight spaces - and fearlessly fling themselves on a downhill track where the slightest small mistake can lead to disaster - so wouldn't they be the coolest under stress?

Then there's the snowboarders. Talk about cool - dude, Danny would be totally rad, man. If you want someone talking sketch, he's your man. Seth? He's in a class all by himself. He regularly travels by helicopter to the top of steep snowy mountains to snowboard down untouched snow - talk about fresh!

No matter which Olympian participates, its certain to add new depth to the show. Especially if the chosen wears the bling of those donut-shaped medals everywhere they go - isn't that supposed to open all sorts of doors of opportunity?

Can't wait!

It's a good chance that the person that wins the most medals in the Olympic will get voted for. The sports people can do just as well as some of the previous characters that have appeared.
