As for Jack and the crew, they're on the lookout for what will probably be the first of many attacks with the weaponized nerve gas. Not that we think they'll fail at snagging each of the canisters as they are deployed or anything, right?Lynn's sis is in some trouble with her boyfriend, who is looking to cash in on the keycard they stole from him outside of the CTU offices, and I've been waiting for this to come to a head. Jack's interrogation of Henderson and his wife goes in a direction that I most certainly should have seen coming, and really liked. I don't know what was more stunning - seeing Jack realize that Henderson could care less when his wife is shot int he leg, or the fact that she took a bullet in the leg at all.
I've gotta be really critical of the security system at CTU, though. I mean, someone managed to take Lynn's ID, and change the image and name on it, and still got in the building with no problem whatsoever? C'mon, that can't be, can it? In some ways, crap like that is what makes this show a little stretchy, but I live with it.
But let's talk about real stuff here - Kim is back on the show. I gotta say that I really could care less for her participation this season, and I really hope there's a point to her being there. And where's Diane and her son, anyway? Did they leave and I missed it at some point? Cuz I mean, if she tried to roll in right now to the CTU offices, she'd be in for a big surprise. Kim is crazy p-o'ed at her father right now, and it's not surprising. I mean, if you had been told for years that your father was dead, and he showed up one day, what would you think? Especially when he's been super sketchy over the last few years.
On the recap-ish tip, Tony is awake and hasn't slammed Buchanan's head into a table for lying to him about Michelle's death, so that's a good sign. Perhaps the burns to his head made him lighten up a bit. The exposure of the CTU offices is going to weigh heavily on Logan's being pushed by the VP to engage martial law in Los Angeles (because we know that'll work), and the fact that the Russians clearly don't believe that Logan didn't know about the attack on the limo is not going to be a positive thing. Where's the Chinese, anyway?
And once again, if 24 has done anything for us, it has proven that no one is above the law when it comes to perishing at the hands of baddies. Seeing the various CTUers slide down the glass of the situation room was dementedly amusing, considering who was all locked up inside, but you had to know that Edgar was going to come in - and it wasn't going to work out so well. But was the look on Chloe's face one of love, friendship, or feeling bad for how she treated him over the years? The fact that he only said one word - her name - was pretty telling on his side. And it's only going to get worse from here, folks.
