24: 5:00 - 6:00pm / 6:00 - 7:00pm

Tonight's double-dip was sure to be filled with some craziness, as the day is approaching half over, and the previews are becoming awfully telling. Well, at least that's what I thought. The Russian president and his wife have just survived an attack along with Mrs. Logan, all thanks to Aaron Pierce - go figure - and the Prez is gonna definitely have some bigtime 'splainin' to do when his wife comes calling.

As for Jack and the crew, they're on the lookout for what will probably be the first of many attacks with the weaponized nerve gas. Not that we think they'll fail at snagging each of the canisters as they are deployed or anything, right?Lynn's sis is in some trouble with her boyfriend, who is looking to cash in on the keycard they stole from him outside of the CTU offices, and I've been waiting for this to come to a head. Jack's interrogation of Henderson and his wife goes in a direction that I most certainly should have seen coming, and really liked. I don't know what was more stunning - seeing Jack realize that Henderson could care less when his wife is shot int he leg, or the fact that she took a bullet in the leg at all.

I've gotta be really critical of the security system at CTU, though. I mean, someone managed to take Lynn's ID, and change the image and name on it, and still got in the building with no problem whatsoever? C'mon, that can't be, can it? In some ways, crap like that is what makes this show a little stretchy, but I live with it.

But let's talk about real stuff here - Kim is back on the show. I gotta say that I really could care less for her participation this season, and I really hope there's a point to her being there. And where's Diane and her son, anyway? Did they leave and I missed it at some point? Cuz I mean, if she tried to roll in right now to the CTU offices, she'd be in for a big surprise. Kim is crazy p-o'ed at her father right now, and it's not surprising. I mean, if you had been told for years that your father was dead, and he showed up one day, what would you think? Especially when he's been super sketchy over the last few years.

On the recap-ish tip, Tony is awake and hasn't slammed Buchanan's head into a table for lying to him about Michelle's death, so that's a good sign. Perhaps the burns to his head made him lighten up a bit. The exposure of the CTU offices is going to weigh heavily on Logan's being pushed by the VP to engage martial law in Los Angeles (because we know that'll work), and the fact that the Russians clearly don't believe that Logan didn't know about the attack on the limo is not going to be a positive thing. Where's the Chinese, anyway?

And once again, if 24 has done anything for us, it has proven that no one is above the law when it comes to perishing at the hands of baddies. Seeing the various CTUers slide down the glass of the situation room was dementedly amusing, considering who was all locked up inside, but you had to know that Edgar was going to come in - and  it wasn't going to work out so well. But was the look on Chloe's face one of love, friendship, or feeling bad for how she treated him over the years? The fact that he only said one word - her name - was pretty telling on his side. And it's only going to get worse from here, folks.

I think that Tony is definitely not going to be the one who makes the ultimate sacrifice. He is going to come back and avenge his wife's death. Besides, I don't think that anyone is going to die in tonight's episode. I do, however, think that there is something fishy going on with Kim. The fact that Henderson looked after her when Jack "died" is a key indicator that something will come up with her background in the past year. Considering that Henderson and Jack weren't even on speaking terms in the past couple of years. This was by far one of the top 5 episodes of "24." This season is getting better and better and is fastly becoming by favorite season, slowly slipping past Season 2.

Tony can't die - he just came back ! I bet he has a ltitle more luck with Henderson that Jack did. Can't wait for that scene. And Chloe - great to see some emotion for someone other than Jack. Poor Edgar - you will be missed. A real character who will be hard to replace. And what about Curtis ? Some of the finest camera-work we've seen. Rushing through the hospital carrying the canister, timer in one hand and giving direction all the while. Shocking, tense, left us hanging and that 2 hours seemed like minutes.

8. Did anyone else notice how Tony's facial burns switched from his right side of his face to the left side? How can they let something like that go unnoticed?

No it didnt - he took it off in the mirror

Still, even if they did initiate contact with the boyfriend, how would they know Lynn would have access to CTU? Until former President Palmer was assassinated, he was not working at CTU. It would have been more plausible if the terrorists researched other CTU employees to gain access. I mean more people than Lynn must have some skeletons in their closets to exploit.

Also, the terrorists never had intentions to hit American soil. Their current plan was made on the fly after they were betrayed.

I still hold out hope that they come up with a decent explanation for this.

Even if they don't, it still won't keep me from biting my nails during the next episode.

this has to be one of the best episodes of 24 ever.
Although i kinda saw the attack at CTU coming, how'd the terrorist get through security with the nerve gas canister in his briefcase without it being x-rayed?

Other ryan in #17: my impression was that the separatists initiated contact with the boyfriend to setup the attack and robbery.

Even though Walt Cummings sent Lynn to CTU it doesn't flow with his own plan. Walt had no intention of the Syntox ever being used on American soil. Walt's plan was to let the terrorists get out of the country with the gas and to prematurely set it off in their camp. It makes no sense for Walt to allow Lynn to have his card stolen since he didn't want the gas being used in CTU or anywhere on American soil.

He sent Lynn there in order to help catch Jack in order to keep the original Palmer frame up intact. Walt knew that Jack had friends on the inside and would rather have his own man keep them from assisting him.
