Don't be an ignorant twit about the Weather Channel. I use it to find out what temperature it is, and if it'll rain. Waiting for that little bar at the bottom doesn't take too long - and it's a lot less time than booting up my computer, starting windows, opening a web browser, and navigating any website.

Gasp! Not ABC Family! If it weren't for that channel, I never would have discovered Gilmore Girls - plus they show Full House like 6 times a day, and that's always a great trip down Nostalgia Lane.

ABC Family is useless except for at Christmas, when they rerun the Rankin-Bass Christmas specials on a continuous loop. I can never get enough Year Without A Santa Claus.

I'm pretty darn fond of the Style Channel. I like all the fashion shows, and I'll second the nomination on Craft Corner Deathmatch (or whatever it's really called). But I'm a girl, which probably makes a difference.

The channel that I totally can live without is (besides *any* sports network) is Lifetime Movie Network. Useless, useless, useless!

I think it's also a handy channel for people who missed out on the early seasons of Smallville and Gilmore Girls.

You all should be watching Isaac on Style at 7 o'clock ET daily. He's not the world's best interviewer etc, but the show feels like it's ready to fall apart into chaos at any minute and that can be a lot of fun. I could do without a ton of channels, but that's why they invented the remote control.

I know, I know, this is like blasphemy or something but... Any and all cable networks. I've lived my entire 23 years without cable or satellite. I can do without them, and I can continue to do without them.

Oddly, though, if I did have access to the Weather Channel, I might actually watch it. And probably the Discovery Channel. But, again, I'm doing perfectly well without.

I agree with these choices.
-ABC Family has one semi-redeeming feature in my eyes, and that's running "Grounded for Life" repeats (I really like that show), but they censor it!!
-Weather Channel can be useful, but you're right, the web is a much better venue for it because you don't have to wait around for a forecast that concerns you.
-TV Guide Channel is impractical. Waiting and waiting until it scrolls around to the good channels... Don't most setups have an interactive guide anyway? And the weak attempt at programming on one third of the screen? Please.
-Style should be an hour on E!
-Golf should be a scrolling topic on ESPN; that's it.

I think there should be a channel with just syndicated sitcoms (not just old ones). I remember the USA network used to have "US A.M."; 90s sitcoms in the morning. The rerun channel, I dub it.

I can do without all the sports channels, Lifetime, Oxygen, WE, Logo, etc. Wouldn't it be easier to make a list of networks you couldn't do without?
