Tonight's Conan to focus on his trip to Finland

by Adam Finley, posted Mar 10th 2006 2:30PM

conan obrienIf you watch Conan, you know he's been talking quite a bit about his resemblance to Tarja Halonen, the president of Finland. Conan's show is hugely popular in Finland, and some wondered if his constantly referring to the election helped get Halonen re-elected. Well, Conan visited Finland recently to meet Halonen, and tonight's episode will focus exclusively on his trip there. It turns out they REALLY like the lanky late night nutcase. Conan was followed incessantly by camera crews and fans while in Helsinki. If he ever loses his audience here, he can always try to make a new start in Finland.

Aaagh... I missed this. Does anyone know when it re-runs? They usually air recent shows at 3:00 AM....

I just want to thank you for posting this article. Without you, I would have missed this episode in which I have been anticipating for quite some time. So thank you very much. As for the episode, they really should have made it either a 2hr special or gone and done the show there for a week like they did in Canada. Oh well, for what it was, it showed Conan working his natural improvisational comedy and even him breaking up from time to time. I like how real they went about this, made it comedy/documentary style. I think my favorite part was when he was being interviewed by the kids and just started saying whatever the hell he wanted to the point of making fun of the show he was on and making fun of the kids, hilarious. Thanks again for reminding me.
