You say it's our birthday?

tv squad logoYes, that's right -- today marks the first birthday of baby TV Squad! Wow, it seems like only yesterday. Actually, no it doesn't -- dang, it's only been a year?!

In honor of this momentious occasion, we want gifts, dangnabbit! We want you to create your own television network and list what currently existing shows you'd put on that network during prime-time (8pm - 11pm), Sunday through Saturday. The shows can be from any of the networks -- mix and match amongst them all. Make sure you choose a great name for your network, too.

Don't worry, we'll give you something in return. Comments to this post will close next Tuesday, March 14, at which time we will choose the best three lineups you've created. First prize will be a $200 gift certificate to Amazon.com, while 2nd and 3rd place will get one of our snazzy TV Squad T-Shirts.

So, what are you waiting for? Let's see what you've got!

So I didn't even consider that I couldn't use cable shows (it's my fantasy right) and I've included an extra early hour of Sunday primetime (just like the real world) where I imagine 60 Minutes to be a little bit more hard hitting and relevant than it tends to be these days. I'm actually surprised that there a lot of shows I wouldn't miss that still didn't make the cut -- like Alias and The OC -- but I guess I'd swap them out with other similar shows rather than show re-runs. I don't actually watch all of these shows consistently, but thought they balanced out the schedule better. God I'm a TV geek.

So now presenting uTV. (My sympathies for the CW -- it's hard to name a network.)

Sunday
7:00 60 Minutes with George Clooney
8:00 Monk
9:00 Desperate Housewives
10:00 Grey's Anatomy

Monday
8:00 PM Gilmore Girls
9:00 PM Veronica Mars
10:00 PM Project Runway

Tuesday
8:00 PM American Idol
9:00 PM Amazing Race

Friday
8:00 PM American Idol/Dancing or Skating results show (both shows get one results show)
8:30 PM Bones
9:30 PM Weeds
10:00 PM Battlestar Galactica/Doctor Who

Saturday
8:00 PM - 11:00 PM Saturday Night Sports (which gives slots for weekly NFL games like Monday/Sunday Night Football is now, important NCAA/NBA matchups, women's figure skating and boxing for big events, sort of like a flashier Wild World of Sports)
