Goodbye Rollergirls

by Bob Sassone, posted Mar 15th 2006 9:13AM
RollergirlsJust when you were getting used to the funky names that these girls had, A&E has canceled Rollergirls.

And what is the cable network replacing the show with? How about a reality show with Aaron Spelling's son Randy and Rod Stewart's son Sean (they're wacky roommates!)? How about a show called Out There, which finds scientists investigating the paranormal (seems to me there are already one or two shows like this on the air)? Or how about I Never Said That, which has improv comics making fun of people on the street? Or how about a reality show titled Say Cheese, which has Nicole Richie going to work full time at a cheese factory?

OK, I made that last one up, but the first three are real.

You had me excited for a second. I wanted to see her with all that cheese!

Crap. I really enjoyed Rollergirls and thought it set itself up for multiple seasons fairly well. New talent coming into the league, Sister Mary Jane leaving for Hawaii and opening up a powerful position, Venus as a veteran, etc. Plus, Miss Conduct is just so freaking hot. :D

And after reading that list of upcoming shows, isn't it about time for a name change for the Arts and Entertainment Network?
