Jim Mallon talks about MST3K
To honor yet another DVD release of the best of Mystery Science Theater
3000, Rhino has a lengthy podcast interview with Jim Mallon, who served as a producer on the show from its
humble beginnings at KTMA in Minneapolis and was the voice of Gypsy for the first several seasons. Fanatics like myself
who already know the show and its history inside and out will even learn a few new things.
Oh yeah, and that new DVD set? It's called the "Mystery Science Theater 3000 Collection: Volume 9" and will contain the following movies: Women of the Prehistoric Planet; Wild Rebels; The Incredibly Strange Creatures Who Stopped Living and Became Mixed Up Zombies; and The Sinister Urge. All in all, a pretty good mix of movies from early seasons and later seasons. The set may be released on May 16, though that isn't official yet.
