Simpsons to use British live-action opening this Sunday

Live action Simpsons OpeningThis week's episode of The Simpsons will contain something unique: the opening will be the live-action opening that the UK network Sky One that's been burning up the YouTube servers for the last couple of weeks. It's quite fitting that the episode will use the British-produced opening (hey, we all knew it was British... after all "live Maggie" and "live Marge" were on the "wrong" sides of the front seat!), since this is the long-awaited episode that features Ricky Gervais as a guest writer and voice.  I might actually watch this week, something I haven't done at all this season.

You missed last weeks? It was the best freaking episode in like 3 years! It's been getting slightly better a little at a time. Start watching again.

Yikes... what does it say about the current popularity of The Simpsons when it's coming in second to C-SPAN programming?

I watch Simpsons on Sunday if C-SPAN does not have an intereting interview. But I will make it a point to watch it because I like Gervais a lot.

I did spot the advert being used the other day actually. Haven't watched a new episode of the simpsons in a long time, and im not too fond of Ricky Gervais so doubtful I'll watch this one either.
